Hat Check Girl Lyrics... Artist name needed.
I desperately need to know the name of the artist who sang this song.
I only know one line of the song at the moment and it includes..
"Pretty little hat check Girl from Reno..."
It was an American male singer, possibly late 70's early 80's.
Many, Many Thanks!

I know this record, only heard it once on the radio,1980, and accidentally recorded about one minute of it,which I have since digitised, although of poor quality, the singer from what I can make out is eddie howell, who was more known for his "man from manhattan" single/album, he also worked with freddie mercury and brian may in the early nineties, sorry but that is all I know, cant find much about the record on Google, but I can mail you the small clip if you want.

I wasn't able to find too much info, though it appears he may have recorded a full sixteen track album, or perhaps more specifically CD, at some time -- generally, these appear to be the only three songs commonly available though:
Man from Manhattan (with members of Queen)
Waiting in the Wings (B-side of "Man from Manhattan")
This Could be You (A seemingly rare track)
Here is a link to some vinyl recordings for sale:

Hope this is of some help. Take care. :)

Yeah I know it's Eddie Howell :) was answering it for other users and I have the single and also have it on mp3 as well hurrah.
Amazingly expensive to buy a copy at £8 pounds a pop. Although I have seent advertised at £2.50 from Jukeboxes to buy and hire not sure how good the quality is but hey they might be good quality.
Meanwhile you like good dance music and a bit of chat and a laugh I have just started doing podcasts and you can have a listen at djspooky and if you really like it and have I tunes then you can subscribe and never miss an episode.

Hiya DJ Spooky - I'd really appreciate a copy of Eddie Howell's Hatcheck Girl please. I've been after it for most of this year and still haven't been able to track it down.

Could someone please give me the lyrics to an old love song, "Where Walks My True Love?" I think the first couple of lines are "Where walks my true love? There you will find me. Though we be dreams apart, or just a smile away." Could you also refer me to a website where I can be sure to listen...

Please help me... I'm looking for an old 80's song I have but don't know the title of it... It sounds clubish in nature and it goes like this:
“You can feel two hearts in me
You can hear the voices in me
I am the thief of lusted source
Gets me higher when I'm blue
Takes my hand and runs me...
Have Lyrics, need title/artist

I have heard this song be referred to as The Stripper Song, but had no luck with that title. Here are some of the lyrics:
I love the people that u know,
I love the places that we go.
I love the way u still say please, while looking up at me
You're like my favorite damn disease.
