    TV loses channels when I switch off
    I have to re scan the channels every time I switch the TV on

    It sounds like power to the memory circuits has been lost. Is there a battery backup? (probably not). Are you unplugging the set when you turn it off? (again, probably not).

    No battery back up as far as I am aware. Not unplugging just switching off at socket
