I have a problem with condensation on only one of my air registers. This register is in the ceiling and it is in a nonused bathroom with no windows. It has just started this about 2 weeks ago (it is 4 1/2 years old). I was wondering why this has happened and how to stop it?

If you take a shower, the cold air from the vent will make water condensate on the metal (the same way the coil works in an air handler) and possibly drip from it. This is because there is excess humidity in the bathroom. Why this happens in the bathroom when there is no shower or hot water on is beyond me.

I don't know how to get rid of it, but pu a bucket or something underneath to stop the dripping (at least until someone else posts an idea).

You might have a small water leak, causing there to be higher humidity in that bathroom. Whatever the case, you might find it helpful to put a portable dehumidifier in the room. We had a similar situation in a basement room that seemed to get outside humidity, due to an old coal chute still being in the wall. The dehumidifier did the trick.
