    Connecting dvd to digital onverter box
    I am having a hugh problem connecting my dvd player to my converter box. I think I have hooked it up correctly but I still can't seem to get it to play a movie. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

    I don't understand why you would want to connect a DVD player to a "converter box". Every DVD player I've had lacks any input jacks or ports, only composite and component outputs. They were only designed to send signals directly to a TV or video minitor (composite or component only - no RF, DVI, HDMI or SVGA connections)

    Are you attempting to install a DVD recorder or combo DVD player/VCR?

    Are you using a cable converter, Digital TV Converter (eligible for the US government coupon program) or satellite receiver? If you are using a cable converter or Satellite receiver is it a model with High Definition (HD) capability?

    Ar there connection diagrams in the DVD player's user manual? If you can't locate the manual have you checked to see if the manufacturer has added a downloadable version of the manual to the support section of their web site?
