Well who is the someone, a stranger that you stole a card from, or your brother or someone you are dating. Not that it makes a different to the punishment but it can effect the case somewhat as to if they will report it to the police.

As long as you hand them the cash to cover the charges, there shoule not be a problem, if they are willing to work with you. But if not, the only way they don't have to pay it back is to turn you in.

She has reported it to them, so yes you can expect charges to be filed. Have you paid them back yet ( get a receipt)

Well she probably has Visa doing the investigation so she can separate your charges from her own. In order to reverse the charges, Visa will more than likely require that she file a police report (to ensure that her claim is legitimate because otherwise people would do this all the time to avoid paying for charges). Sooooo, if the police report is filed... this is a felony. In regards to time, I don't know how that goes. Don't know if the amount has an effect on the sentencing either.

Maybe she's just trying to make you sweat it out for a little while. What was your relationship with her like before this happened? Let me ask someething out of curiosity- for such a small amount that you are able to repay with ease, why do it? Well hopefully, she's just trying to teach you a lesson and after a million apologies and repayment you can get past this. Good luck!

I hurt her trust and respect and I don't think that she will forgive what I did without paying my price presay so I was just wondering what will happen with me, visa and the law

Ahhh, trust is a hard thing to regain once it's broken. It sounds like you had a pretty good relationship with this person before this happened so I don't really think she'll press charges over $35. The guilt will kill you for a while but that's normal. Just repay her and apologize profusely. It sounds to me that you've def learned your lesson.

    Hello c:

There are some people who USE the justice system as a way to teach somebody something, or to help them.

    Both notions are WRONG!

If the cops get involved, your mother can't control what happens next. The COPS will make that decision.

Jails, and/or probation departments aren't designed to HELP anybody. They're designed to PUNISH them.
