Mixing Loreal Blonde dye with Shampoo?
I dyed my hair with a temporary bright red hair colour a week ago. I hated it straight away and I have managed to make it fade quite a bit by doing all the usual things (detergent, head & shoulders etc) it is now a light red/pink colour. I have a Loreal Preferences hair colour kit I brought from the chemist, but I realise that using it could turn my hair orange. If I mix the solution with my normal shampoo and use it a few times would that work?

The problem is is that red is a very hard to color to get rid of, it's hard to get into your hair but once it's in it tends to be stuck there for a while.

Mixing your shampoo with your hair dye won't really fix the problem, and you would be more or less watering down the dye. If you want to try dyeing the red out you should try a darker color, but even then if the red is strong enough you will still have a red tint in your hair.

Remember though that all the dyeing of your hair will damage it, so try not to destroy your hair just to get the red out.

It's not likely that dyeing your with another color will help your situation. You'd need to remove the dye first, using ColorFix, Color Oops, ColorZap, or Igora Phantom. Then you can re-dye it.

The only thing that shampoo will do is dilute the color mixture and make it less able to do its job. You'd still have to mix it with developer.

If there is a beauty supply store in your area that is open to the public, like Sally Beauty Supply, all you need is a small bottle of Red Out. Just mix the recommended amount into a bottle of shampoo and the pink/red will wash out and not harm your hair.
