    Bathroon hot water faucet bangs
Both my bathroom faucets bang when the hot water is turned on. If I turn either one on full blast it will bang, and the water will pulsate and spatter, the shaking will continue and then the water will stop coming out and the shaking/bang will still continue until I turn off the faucet. If I turn the fuacet down a halfway it will act like a normal faucet. What can I do about this?

    Hi Tm tacp:

You need to shut the water off and remove the stem units and replace the washers in place. You may even need to replace the seats if these are worn.

If the faucets are extremely old it may just be best to install new faucets... ;)

Hot water heater bangs [ 4 Answers ]

We just bought a house with a 10yr old 40gal natural gas water heater. When it heats the water it almost sounds like its percolating loudly. I can hear the banging from the second floor. I was told it might be because its over firing. I was just looking for another opinion. Thanks Matt

Loud Bangs Coming from PVC waste pipe and Hot Water Copper Line [ 6 Answers ]

Low hot water pressure from kichen faucet only- 1 handle faucet [ 7 Answers ]

Hi. My question is similar to one asked a few posts ago except this is a 1 handle faucet. I plan on maintaining the boiler from now on but I have to fix the flow problem first. I disconnected the hot water supply line to the faucet and the pressure is excellent so I assume the problem is in the...
