Themostat replacement(Trane to Honeywell VisionPRO TH8321
I have a Trane electric heat pump system Model# 4TECF24B1000AA Manufactured 3/2007It has a Trane Model # TCONT401ANT1MAA thermostat that I want to replace with a Honeywell Model3 8321 Thermostat and am unsure of the wiring can you please help.

    Trane wiring is:
    R-Red
    W2 & X2- Brown with a yeoow jumper to W1
    W1-White
    Y-Yellow
    G-Green
    O-Orange
    B-Blue
with a Black wire coming from the wall which is not used.

Available terminals on the Honeywell are:
    Y2
    L
    E
    AUX
    S1
    S2
    RC jumped to R
    O/B
    Y
    G
    C

I am not sure which color wire goes from the Trane terminals to which terminal on the Honeywell.
The Honeywell has a dehumidifier feature.
Can the Trane thermostat be replaced with trhe Honeywell, and if so, how is the wirine accomplished?

    Thank you!
    Bill

First, turn off power supply. Red to R (leave jumper to Rc in place), green to G, yellow to Y, white to AUX, brown to E, orange to O, blue to C. Be sure to follow installation instructions for additional steps regarding setup options (like O/B terminal powered in cooling).

What about the jumper between W2/X2 and W1 ?
I haven't a clue about any of this, but I sincerely appreciate your help, and I only hope that someday I can help you with an answer.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!

If you find the heating to be inadequate during extremely cold weather, you can add a jumper between AUX and E to activate more of the supplemental heat in the normal mode. Current arrangement should be more economical, so try it first.
