Cuddle her, keep her soothed. Try to reasure her, in ways that you'd like to be when you're scared.

Try getting maybe ear muffs (I'm sure you know this but make sure that what ever you use won't suffocate her. Roll up some blankets, and put one on either side of her head?) or something to cover her ears so it's not so loud, and try playing music that calms her, a little loud so that it's not too loud, but loud enough to make the storm not so aggressive. You know what I mean?
Also, maybe try wrapping her in a blanket, but a little tighter than normal, not too tight but tight so she feels safe, comforted.
Also, with the music Idea, put the ear muff head phones on her head and play soft music. But not too loud because babies hear better then us.
I'd look in my books, but I'm not sure where they are at the moment. Cleaned up and now I can't find anything. Blah.

    Take care.

What I did with my children at that age was NOT to coddle them. We would stand at the windows and watch. Every time there was a blot of lightening I would say WOW, that's PRETTY!!

We would sit outside and watch the oncoming storms and go in when they got close.

Now all 4 of my children love thunderstorms and get excited by watching the weather and anticipating them. We get out candles, flashlights, etc.

By making a game out of them, they found storms interesting instead of frightening.

KeepItSimpleStupid agrees: Great idea! So they all grew up to be "storm chasers"?
Yup, that's one of the vacations we have planned for next year during storm season!
