Its Labrador, not lambrador. Labrador is a Province on the east coast of Canada.

There may be some Lab in your pup, but obviously a heinz 57 (mixed breed). So, your lovely pup is not a breed.

Hi Papa, no, no one could possibly know what mix of breeds your lovely pup is. You would have to know the mom and dad to know what mix. The breed is not a forbidden word. :) From the look of him/her, possibly a happy healthy dog ! That is all that matters, eh !

Hey tickle, thanks for answering. It is a lovely puppy, and very clever. But I was just wondering if it looked of any know dogs. It is very lively, a happy dog, very friendly, and eating anyything it can put her teeth on. And it took 3 cows back to the rest of the herd, and that amazed me, that's why I wanted to know what it has from.

    Anyway thanks for answering again.

I see a bit of golden retriever but looks can be deceiving.

If you really want to know, your vet can do testing to see what breeds are in your pup.

I have to agree with Tickle though, all that matters is that he is a happy healthy dog.

    Bless you for rescuiing him.

I'd say you were pretty right with your guess Papasoc but like Altenweg said there's no way to know without testing and as long as you love him who cares!

Then he has herding instincts, border collie mix would be a good bet then. Encourage that in him if that is what you need. Working dogs are happiest whenthey are doing their best with a lot of praise for a good job done.

Hahaha, I wish I was in a place where there were free cows. I was in a mountain talking her for a walk. I didn't know there was a test for finding out. I think I need to change vet!
True people I don't care what mix it has, I was just curious, and I am very happy for resquing it, it is a great companion, and love her.

Good, then we solved the question, papsoc. She is a working breed dog. Some of the best mixed breeds with this mixed in are the best herd dogs. This function does not have to be taught by the way. It is inherent in most dogs and comes from their ancestors the wolves herding wild game to kill.

In other words I hope you enjoy "walkies" as much as the dog does because he's going to want a lot of it lol

If you aren't a huge fan of walking my dad used to take his great dane bike riding. Just make sure your dog is well trained to run along side the bike and not dart off if he sees something in the bushes!

Great, thanks for the advice, I unleash the dog runs off, but not very far from me, and always in my view. But the idea of mountain biking is very good! The good thing is that she has learned to come to me with a whistle, the only problem is that if it finds other owner dogs and plays, she does not come back at once, or maybe at all.

Bike riding is great, so is roller blading, just make sure to set a pace your dog can handle.

Our Lab ripped his pad one time when we took him bike riding, he tripped and tore it. I still fee guilty about that. :(

Have fun with your pup, he's beautiful.

    True.

He's too old to run now, at 14 years of age he's happy to just sit around, get pets and love and of course treats. His biking days are over.

Enjoy your pup, the years go by so very fast.
