    Plumbing and heating what happens if I turn my heatig off when I am not using it. Is

    What will happen to your house will depend upon your location. I live in Florida where you can simply turn the heat , power and water off and walk away but I came from Wisconsin where the system must be drained and evacuated,including the water heater, and all the traps filled with cooking oil or anti-freeze, including the toilet. Where do you live? How cold will it get?
