Vibrating noise from sink
I have a vibrating noise coming from my kitchen sink. I tried to drain the lines thinking there maybe air in the pipes. I only happens when the hot water is on. If there are any other faucets running in the house, the noise stops. Any sugguestions?

Sounds like you have aloose washer or seal in a cartridge. Any chance of a picture or brand name on the faucet?

I am not sure what the difference is! I am sorry.. I can tell you once I got the handle off, there was a silver ball with holes in it and about a 2 inch stem on that. Inside once I got that off there were 2 small black seals in there.

That is A PDF file, it show a picture of a single handle kitchen faucet, it shows the ball, the seals and the springs, replace the seals and the springs clean the ball and assemble check if it will help, if not you need to check the angle valve under the sink close it all the way and open completely if this will fix your problem then it indicates the washer at the end of the stem is loose, get back to us will tell you how to replace it, see the image below for the seals and the springs, Thanks.

I think John has this nailed. The picture opened for me and the seals are what I suspect are vibrating.

John, that is not the type of faucet I have. I finally got the file opened.
The faucet is separate and the temperature control is separate also.
There is a silver ball in there with holes and it has a stem that is about 2 or so inches once I removed the handle. When I lowered the water pressure from under the sink, the noise has disipated. Its almost like it is getting too much pressure or the pressure is causing the noise. I have tried draining the hot water tank in case there was air in the lines. That didn't help. Also, when I cut the water on in the rest of the house the noise also disipates..
Thank you so much for your help!

With out knowing the brand and the model number it is hard to tell and you are not able to post a picture.
Can you tell us a little more is your faucet a single handle, two handles two knobs, with a sprayer or what?
When you opened my picture is the ball the same as yours, and also the next image I sent you does the seals looks like yours, if you answer my questions some one will help you, Thanks.

Yes, the seals have small springs like that.. Very similar. It is a single handle that pivots for hot and cold. It does have sprayer.
Yes, the ball looks similar to that.
Sorry, I don't have a picture.

Ok let's replace the seals and the springs, when the seals go bad it cause vibration, a loose washer in the angle valve will also cause vibration, let me know when you replace the seals if you still have problem I will walk you through how to fix the angle valve, Thanks.

Hello Topher,
I forgot to ask you when the ball and the washers are removed open both hot and cold angle valves for a second to flush out any debris out the faucet and then assemble the faucet, Thanks.
