    Treatment for prostate cancer
My dad who is 70 has been diagnosed with prostate cancer and by all accounts has had it for a while before getting it diagnosed. It has spread to the surrounding area and he has been given a few choices of treatment.Removal of testicles, injections in the stomach ( which have side affects ) and patches ( which have side affects ). I was wondering if anyone has been in the same situation as my dad or knows someone and what treatment they went for. My dad is thinking of the injections but I think removing the testicles would be a better as it stop the testosterone which the cancer feeds off.Any advice would be appreciated.:(

I think there is another treatment and that's placement of radioactive pellets. Might not be appropriate though.
