    Splashes
    Hello:

    When you pour a liquid into another liquid, and it splashes, WHICH liquid is splashing? Is it the one being poured, or the one being poured into? Or might it be a combo?

    Or, should I stop asking such dumb questions?

    I hope this isn't a trick question. My observance of this procedure, from doing a lot of cooking, is that the liquid being poured into, is the one that splashes. You can more or less assume that the liquid you are using to pour into the other, is heavier then the dormant liquid, because you are pouring from a height. Actually it isn't a dumb question.

    I hate to say this, but while doing my clinical in a nursing home years ago, I found out the 'hard' way. That taught me one lesson quickly, always wear a universal precautions apron, and don't rush !
