    Banging pipes
I have read a lot about people with pipes that bang when they first turn them on, but I have a bit of a different problem. When I turn on either the cold or hot in the kitchen, there is no pressure at all. The water will come out in a small stream or not at all. I then will turn on and off the water several times until I hear a lot of baning in the pipes and the water comes rushing out. I am worried about the pipes breaking. This all started about a year ago when the sprayer quit working. Should I replace the sprayer or is the problem air in the pipes?

    Hi Don.

If thr problem was water hammer it would affect all the faucets in your house.
It sound to me like the problem's in the diverter. To go into more detail and instruct you on the repair I'll need the brand name and age of the faucet along with all the details you can furnish me. Let me know, Tom
