    Can I file single?
    I am a us citizen married a English citizen I worked and lived in us up until oct 2008 my husband has never lived with me in America no worked there I am considered low income I didn't make much income last year working can I file my taxes a single ? H% R BLOCK suggested I file single since he never lived with me nor supported me is this correct or do I have to file married filing separate ? I qualified for the EIC if I file single please let me know thanks

    No you can not file as single.
    To get EIC, you must file joint return.
