    Thermostat installation
    I'm trying to install a new digital non programmable honeywell thermostat but, my old thermostat is a TRANE and has a wire lableled T and I don't know where to attaché it to the new thermostat.. Please help.
    PS I have a heat pump.

    I just did something like that a couple months ago... what I did was go to the 'new' thermostat company's web site and downloaded a picture that showed where all the wires (from the old one) attached to the new one

    You won't need it for the new thermostat, it was used for a trouble indicator light. Tape it off and move forward.
