    Tax filing
    My adult daughter lost her job and I am giving her money to live on until she get another job. Does she have to report the money I give her as unearned income and file a tax return on it?

    No - you are simply making a gift to her. No tax consequences to her, and no tax consequences to you either unless you give her more than the annual gift exclusion amount, which is now $13K per year.
