Where's My Retro Television Network Station
Until today (Feb.17,2009) we could get the RTN Station in our area of Bristol Tn. Did we lose it because of THE BIG SWITCH?? We miss the old television shows. There's too much reality and judges shows on the other channels. We got a converter just to keep getting this station.

Firstly, there has been no BIG SWITCH.

"After heated debate by legislators Wednesday, and some 18 months of broadcasters, cable operators and the government drilling the Feb. 17 "hard" date into the hearts and minds of viewers, the House voted Wednesday to push the cut-off date for analog TV from Feb. 17 to June 12, 2009."

If you have a cable connection, you could see many of the "retro" shows,
Such as Andy Griffith, The Huxtables, Happy Days, etc. on TV Land.

Try calling one of you local TV stations and asking them if they have
Changed their programming. The digital transition has not taken place yet.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. RTN came back on after a couple of days. I guess it was a fluke they went off the air on the 17th. I never got an explanation what their problem was. If you've ever watched RTN you understand why we missed it. TVLAND started like RTN but has changed over the years. Plus cable isn't in our budget and TV is our vacation from real life. Again thanks!

I have Comcast and was enjoying Retro but now all I see is someone trying to sell a bunch of junk I am paying for television shows not sales pitches. I enjoyed Robin Hood, Cisco Kid Hopalong Cassidy and Real Mc Coys. Oh well just another reason for me to think about dropping cable all together
