    Shower drain
The drain in our shower came off, and my 14 months old daughter dropped a round bath toy down the drain. How can I get this out? It now collects water since pipe is blocked. The toy was smaller than pipe.

    Thanks in advance.

You have two shots open to clear the shower drain. You will need the equivalent of a Ridgid K-50 sewer machine, which you can rent, to do this.
    (1) Send a auger tipped snake down the shower drain and hope the toy was soft enough to auger into and pull back, or (2) If the auger won't dig into the toy then change the tip to a small cutter tip and attempt to push the toy out into the main where it will be carried away. Put out at least 15/20 feet of cable if you do this. And last, purchase a snap in shower strainer for the open drain. Good luck, Tom
