    Copy of 2006 income tax return
    I'm in Texas, and I need to get a copy of my 2006 income tax return ASAP, I don't have money to pay for copy.

    For a copy of your federal return contact the IRS, for state returns contact the state dept of taxation.

    For the future keep at least 7 years worth of returns.

    You can order a transcript of your federal tax information for free. See:

    Of course, since you live in TX you don't need to worry about state income taxes.
