Can not access EXPLORE (file manager) in WIN98SE
Can not access EXPLORE (file manager) in WIN98SE
When I click on MY COMPUTER or right click on START BUTTON and left click on EXPLORE my computer locks up. Before I went on vacation I shut the computer down, and when I came back Everything was working (I THINK) except the ability to get into EXPLORE. Very Strange!!
My computer is an AOPEN with a 450mhz processor. Anyone have any ideas what might cause this and what would be the best way to fix the problem short of reloading windows.
    Thank You for any help

Time to run a System file Check!

Have your win98 CD ready and Click start -> Run -> Type "SFC" in the box and press OK.

This will start a process that checks all the system files on your computer for errors and replaces any corrupt files with copies from the CD.

Give this a whirl and let us know how it goes!

    Thank you very much.
I ran the system file check and everything is back to normal.
I wish I knew what happened so that I could avoid problems in the future, but for now I am no longer frustrated and very happy.
    Thanks Again
