    I filed bk in 2002 can I file again this year?

    No, the new rule is 8 years before you can file another bankruptcy.

    Also if you filed a chapter 13 and the repayment was at less than 30 percent pay back on non secured it is treated liks a chapter 7 in that you can still not refile for the 8 years.

    So if your original filing was a chapter 13 and you paid back at a rate higher than 30 percent, then yes you can file a chapter 7.

    But I will assume that was not the case since that is not the norm.
