Only recently started taking the contraceptive pill and had condom fail.
    Hi people.

I started taking the contraceptive pill 9 days ago. I know it's not effective right away, so my boyfriend and I have still been using condoms.
    But tonight, the condom disappeared.
Apart from the fact that I'm worried it could now be stuck inside me... I'm not sure whether I'm able to take the morning after pill while taking the contraceptive pill. Do they effect one another?
It's been 4 days since my last period ended, so I'm not very likely to be pregnant anyway... but would like to be able to check. As far as I'm aware, the contraceptive pill works by releasing hormones that make your body think you're already pregnant, right? Does this mean that I would appear positive on a pregnancy test if I'm on the contraceptive pill (regardless of whether I'm actually pregnant)?
It's Friday night and I won't be able to see a doctor until Monday at the earliest...

    So to re-cap:
Have been on contraceptive pill for 99 days.
    Had a condom disappear.
How likely am I to be pregnant?
Can I take the morning after pill and the contraceptive pill simultaneously?
Would the contraceptive pill influence the appearance of a pregnancy test?

... Sorry, this is all new to me. I'll try to be brief next time.

    1. Not likely
    2. Check with your doctor... I would think the two could be taken together.
    3. The pill won't interfere with a pregnancy test. However, steps can be taken (if you act quickly) to prevent an egg from being fertilized and implanting in the first place- although this is not likely to be taking place at all.

Also, I'd do my own "digital" check and find that condom! If you don't locate it soon, all the more reason to see the doctor, as it can cause infection if left in there too long.

Ergh. Yes. I know. Have looked. Have... felt. :S I can't find it in the bed or... me.
I don't really want to think about where it could be...
I'll try to book the doctor for Monday just in case though.

    Thanks.

Btw, there was a typo in my original post. I've only been on the pill for 9 days, not 99.

I agree that there is a very slight risk of pregnancy. Wait at least 2.5 weeks before you take a pregnancy test if you so choose... taking BCP will not affect the results.

If you can't find the condom... no offense.. but are you sure he was wearing one?
