    Context please?

    I'm going to pick one. A linear actuator requires 12 Volts between the red (+) and black (-) wires to extend. It requires red (-) and black (+) to retract (reverse polarity).

I have a house built in 1935, a new 200 amp service was installed before I purchased the home.
