I live in east central Alabama my sod is still brown when is the best time to put out feed and weed on my lawn have a lot of chick weed

In Georgia we always put it on in the fall and in the spring. I think something to do with the grass being dormant. If the weeds are growing out of control right now however, you might try putting it on now. It is however, best to do it a few days after cutting the grass when the grass is dry.

Chickweed and Creeping Charlie are difficult to kill any time of the year when using a weed and feed product. I prefer an Ortho liquid killer for bot weeds but they must be actively growing, so wait a few weeks until your soil temps are consistently above 55 degrees.
