    I am marryed and I would like to adopt my stepdaughter. How would I go about doing it.

    You get a lawyer and let him know your situation. A lot of what happens is dependent on the involvement of the child's mother.

    Does the mother spend time with your step child? Does she pay support? Is she uninvolved?
