    Hi, desnoo77!

Unfortunately, no one here can diagnose what your children might have. It would be best to be taking them to a doctor who can examine them in person.

If you click on the following search, you might find information on sites that you'll find on the search that might be helpful to you.

How old are your children? Still in diapers?

Staph is very common in this area and is VERY contagious.

They are 9 and 10 respectively. My daughter wnet to the grandparents on Tuesday and he put some cream on it because it was itchy. By Thursday I took her to the chemist because it hurt and was itchy. Damiens looke dlike a ring worm so used caneston and my 2 year old has ring worms under her arm. Chemist gave me antiseptic cream which did diddly squat. My father in law took them to cas last night as he was worried about them as by them the pimps has spread further. The spots very very itchy and painful. On another note what do I do about worms. My 6 year old keps on gettingthem. I treat him every 2-3 months, as soon as he says my bum hurts, I check and sure enough, he has them. I know he sucks his thumb, and often hangs on to his penis. I encourage hand washing but he also has been in school for a year. I wash the kids bed every 2 weeks in 30 degrees andhang outside for ages in the sun(if it around). I vacuum rooms at tleast 3 times (I have a kirby with a power head) a week. Any advice would be most wlecome :-). I sppreciate your time in answering me question

Please take them to the doctor. You shouldn't be trying to solve this problem on your own, especially if it could be staph.

Here is some info on Staph that I found on the internet. I don't know how reliable the site is, but it does tell you what causes it and how to try and keep it under control.

Staph infections can be VERY serious and many people are hospitalized from it. Please have them rechecked by your primary care physician.

Also, remember that you're the parent so if you feel that your current doctor isn't helping you than maybe it's time to see another doctor. Depending of your health insurance you might have to give them a call to change your pcp.

What is pcp? We live in australia so we don't need health insurance. The quack I see if very help ful so that isn't the problem, I assumed they were ring worms as that is what the 2 year old has. They all share the same bath (not all a the same time of course as there are 6 kids here) so I thought that they had passed on to Damien and Brianna some how. I tried to be careful by putting the youngest 2 in last but like I said I assumed they wre ring worms ,never havingthis in the house before. Thanks for helpong me:-)

Ringworm is a fungus. You will need an antifungal cream to get rid of that. Does the 6 year old play in the dirt a lot? Does he/she suck his/her thumb?

    OH MAI.

I almost lost my leg to staph infection (I had no idea what staph infection was, so I left it untreated for a little too long... ) and it was the most painful experience of my life. My God, the pain. I was all delirious and whatnot. Arg.

And then, when they lanced it (over the course of a week; stupid infection was eating up my whole thigh and spreading down my leg!) they didn't even numb it! They were like, "Ah, numbing it would hurt more than actually cutting it!"

    LIES! THEY ALL LIE!

But it was either that or losing my leg because it was beginning to get into my blood stream and infect my lymphnodes! x_x

And guess what. I screamed like a baby.

Moral of the story? Okay, besides MAKING them numb the area, there's no real moral, but I feel sorry for your kids as they had to go through that.

    Gah that sucks hardcore.
    Glad they're better now!
