    Valentine's Day
Valentine's Day is coming up and I don't know what to get my boyfriend! He said if I got him jewelry he would wear it. He plays soccer and runs cross country, He already has hockey and football jerseys. He isn't into baseball really. He love Syracuse, but he already has a lot of stuff from there so I don't really want to get him another hoodie or something. I kind of want to get him a necklace, but I don't know what kind and I don't want to get him something real cheap or real expensive either. Any ideas??

No one here can tell you what to get your boyfriend.

A lot of people think that romance is about hearts and roses and expensive jewelry and wine and candlelight and knights in shining armor. It isn't, although those things can help. Romance is all about context. It's about showing that you know someone and care about them enough to make them truly happy. For instance, I personally bought my boyfriend a trip for two to ComicCon for Valentine's Day. About 99% of the people reading this will now scoff at my geekiness. :) But since we both love comic books and action movies (and frankly he's dreamed about going for ages but never been able to afford it), it's romantic for us.

So. If he's been dropping hints about jewelry, you should probably get him jewelry. Spend some time looking in the store for something of significance to both of you. Put thought into it. Only you know what would be a great present for him.

(Sheesh. I think that was the longest "I don't know" answer ever written. :) )

    Sarah's right.

Think from the heart when you go into get him something.
    Take your time.

I don't recommend bringing a friend (mutual or of his) as I think it sort of 'dilutes' the present, but by all means do if you think it might help.

Valentines day really shouldn't be about the gift you buy him but the amount of love you show him. Cook a romantic dinner... desert and all and plan to have a romantic night. A night in a really nice hotel and a couples massage would be a great idea.

Give him a picture of you (fully clothed!) in a picture frame he'd like.

Maybe a picture of YOU in a Syracuse jersey/hoodie.
