    Is 21 really that old.
OK I'm only 21, but I'm married with 2 kids and just got guardianship of my little sister. Everyone tells me to "slow down" and I even court myself saying "in my day....." :eek:FREAKY! But is it just me or do others feel like kids are "wrapped in cotton wool"? I hear of people saying "is it legally for kids to share a room" shouldn they be happy kids have a room?? I hear of people saying "kids dont have any discipline these days" but its illegal for us to smack/spank them. I don't know if how I was brought up was wrong (I shared a bedroom with my sister until I was 15, she was 8 and if I did something wrong I would get a smack) I don't see anything wrong with this. And now I hear you can't take pictures of your children in the pool or bath "because it is sugestive"!! What the?? I think kids should be aloud to be kids! Yes they will get bumps and scrapes along the way but if they don't learn about that then what will happen when they hit "the real world"?!

    Hello jesse:

If you can distinguish between discipline and abuse, then you'll do fine.

PS> You DO understand, that there are parents who think they are NOT abusing their children even when they beat them to the point of leaving marks... DON'T be one of those losers.

Lol, excon, I just realised that!:) when a say "smack" I mean if its something bad (like when I was 7 and cut down a very exspensive tree in our front yard) then a smack from mum or dad on the leg/bum, while on the way to time out is OK, its NOT OK to hit, bite, punch, kick, bruise, scratch etc

Well old timer there is a pune sale at Walmart this week. And I think I saw you at bingo at the Legion hall last night.

But part of it is that many ( not all) 21 year olds are still drinking beer and running wild in school or not matured yet.

And of course many are on the other side, looking for people to report for abuse
