    Hi, itsamme!

I'm so sorry about the passing of your dad! Do you have a religion of any kind in which you're involved? If so, what is it, please?

    Thanks!

Hello there, I understand your pain. I lost my father 4 yrs ago to a horrid illness. It was a very rough and hard time for me and my family to go through.

I loved and still love my dad dearly. I was so close to him.

What helps me getting through each day - I believe that he is in a better place, in no pain and he is peaceful. He is now my guardian angel and I believe he watches over me every day and night. He doesn't want to see me sad so I keep smiling for him.

Although crying is good also, so don't hold back your tears, its only natural.

Time does heal, although you probably find that hard to adjust to, but believe me it does. In saying that I will always have a piece of my heart missing. As it's a horrible trauma for any person to go through.

Just think of the nice memories you have and treasure them close to your heart.

Hello, I too understand your pain. I lost my dad this past July, however he DID NOT suffer. He passed from a sudden heart attack but I too go through each day wondering if he is OK. I am new to this site and let me tell you, these people have been inspirational and more than helpful with their kind words and faith. Keep your head up as I am trying to do and always know that there's a lot of us on here willing to help!

I am sorry for your pain.I lost my Dad over 30 yrs. Ago and I still miss him and cry occasionally when I feel his absence in my life.

This is probably the hardest thing you will ever have to cope with in your life.

Know that your father was a good man and as you said his suffering is over,he is home with his father and he has peace. He wants that for you also.

You must grieve but you must look forward. One day you will be together again.

Try to be grateful for the time you had and cherish those memories.Time will help my dear, give yourself time.
