    Yeast or bacterial vaginosis?
Hi, my problems started when I got diagnosed with HPV, and I was a biopsy. At the same time my gyno prescribed me medication for BV ( bacterial genu) I used that very irregularly due to my period and then the biopsy. The genu of heavy discharge with odor went away. BUT when I got my biopsy the doctor said I have a yeast infection. So I started using a med for that. Now the smelly discharge is back... could this mean that BV was not cured? Should I stop taking the yeast medication? ( it states so in the instructions) I am so confused  please help if you know anything or have suggestions.

If you did not complete the course of antibiotics for the BV, it is very likely that it has returned. Antibiotics must be taken exactly as prescribed for the entire length of time to be effective. Time to revisit your doctor for a proper diagnosis and treatment.

    Bacterial vaginosis and yeast infection.

I think you need to be treated for bacterial vaginosis again. Also when the pH balance in you discharge is off because of so many medications it can cause an odor.

Ask your doctor if that could possibly be the problem.

The portion of your question that I have bolded is the problem in and of itself. To get rid of a bacterial infection you MUST take the medication exactly as prescribed for the entire length of the prescription.

Bacteria will grow back if not completely killed. If you did not follow the directions of the antibiotics it is most likely you are still infected.

Time for a visit back to the doctor.
