    Furnace not working.
I have a York furnace, It was installed on 9-11-01 and has been serviced in 10-04. We went and looked at it and it had 4 red lights blinking at first, then my husband turned off power and back on, then it showed 1 green light. Now there is nothing. Any ideas? We just called a repairman but I was fired from my job a few days ago and can't go that route :( Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks-- Lisa

Try resetting the thermostat by turning off and on. Try reseting the electric supplied to the unit. In the mean time look on the inside of the blower door panel at the legend and post what 4 blinks mean for that york unit. Hopefully the furnace will reset and also toss another code so we can get an idea of what is going on.

I've done this already. It doesn't have a legend on it.

We found a place to help us pay for a guy to come out and check it. Hopefully it won't cost too much. If so, I'll convert to a wood stove hehe. (I'm not fond of gas appliances anyways). He said it may be a relay switch..

This is a generic version of York blink code. I usually like to have the one right off the unit but here you go.

According the York installation instructions these are the diagnostic LED blink codes for the control PC board:
    OFF - normal operation
    ON - board failure
1 flash - ignition attempts or recycles
2 flashes - compressor low pressure switch open
3 flashes - compressor high pressure switch open
4 flashes - flue inducer cetrifugal switch open (fault) or closed (fault)
5 flashes - flame rollout switch open
6 flashes - furnace high limit switch open
7 flashes - (optional) heating mode 1 hour waiting period for auto reset from flame failure lockout

As you can see lite on is board failure
And 4 blinks the original signal is flue inducer cetrifugal switch open (fault) or closed (fault)
