    When Introverts and Extroverts date!
    Hi everyone,

I'm an introvert, but I always find myself getting attracted to extroverts. Does a relationship between these two different/crashing personalities work? I know there will need to be a lot of compromise.

I usually do quite well in social settings, but it always drains my energy. I wouldn't mind if my partner go out and party with his friends, and just have a good time, because I know that's what he enjoys.

I'm just the type of girl that enjoys the company of a small group of close friends, as oppose to those big parties. I'm just scared that he'll find me boring.

An introvert with an introvert match is boring beyond your imagination. I dated a girl quieter than I am, she had no real interest in anything as far as I could tell and we had boring conversations and she had/has a tiny group of friends of a different kind... just so boring.

An extrovert with an introvert is definitely a good match. I will only date people more extroverted than me 'cause I learn from them and they learn from me.

Get those negative thoughts out of your head and play it cool.

Yes! You tend to balance each other out and learn from one another.

My wife and I are somewhat like that. I've heard it explained this way: when out socially the extrovert doesn't have to compete for the attention and the introvert is comfortable to not be the center of attention. Also the extrovert often opens up some experiences that the introvert wouldn't normally seek put while the introvert helps the extrovert learn about "toning it down" when those moments require it.

I think it's a good match too! Lol I'm an extrovert dating an introvert and I think that's going good (lol sos far at least!) I need a balancer, quite honestly! And when I'm social over a long period its nice to chill out with someone who is naturally calm and well... chill :P

You shouldn't worry too much about it, lean back, relax and go with the flow :)

Including my wife I have 4 friends. I know more then 4 people but I would never call any of them and say hey you want to come over have a beer and watch the basketball.

My wife on the other hand is very social. When we go out she up talking to everyone while I tend to sit in the corner and people watch. We get along great. There are times where she has to force me to go out and there are times where I have to force her to stay in and save some money. It evens out very nicely.

OK, sounds good :)! I'll just relax and be myself, and hopefully he'll like me for who I am.
