Dermatologist prescription for hyperpigmentation
I went to my derm and told him I had hyperpigmentation on my body and wanted a lotion for it...
He prescribed me
4% hydroquinone in Lidex
Mixed in lubriderm I guess
He said to go to an apothecary pharmacy and get his...
Use is once or twice a day and come back in 2 months.
I hope this works!
Im going to use this with kojic acid soap...
Is 4% hydroquione strong enough?
Im getting married in August so I want to see a difference by then

I always thought that HQ was for small areas as opposed to your entire body.

Wow so my insurance doesn't cover it?
How come?
I don't want to pay $100 dollars for a bottle of lotion, for one month

Dermatologist hmmmmmmmmm,I hate all of them
fhabeeb, insurance doesn't cover skin lightening if it's for cosmetic reasons.they will suck you dry for your money and you will see little to no results long term use(unless you want to get light for the occasion and get darker after that).4% HQ will work but for short term then for long term you will definitely get side effects on your skin(blue black maybe).if you ever in future decide to use a lesser percentage of HQ it may not work because your skin is used to the higher percentage.HQ is just short term and for spot treatment.all over body lightening I probably not a good idea.maybe you should try something else more natural and less expensive so that in future you can keep up with buying it.then again unless you just want to lighten up for the occasion and then forget about it.
Congrats on your wedding

What is more natural?!
I am going crazy looking for something that I can use for my body...
Everything is made for the face... my face is lighter so I need to work on my body... and I can't really find anything to work on my whole body.. like a lotion I can put on everyday..
I am getting desperate... and my pharmacy keeps calling me to find out if I want to fill the prescription or not ugh...

When I said natural I meant kojic, glutathione or arbutin.I use the funkymommy glutathione soap for my body and trust me am 2 to 3 shades lighter now.it does work really well but you have to be committed and use it twice daily leaving it on your body for abit longer like maybe 5mins.for lotions for the body you can go to A Skin Whitening Product Guide and try their body whitening lotions.or you can search on eBay for glutathione or kojic lotion to use for your body.but if you decide to buy from eBay make sure to buy from a reputable store with great feedback.I personally haven't tried any glutathione or kojic lotion except funkymommy's whitening cream which whitenins but has a limit to how much your body will let it whiten but there is no harm in trying.let us know what you decide but personally I don't think the prescription from the dermatologist is the best as it's so expensive and you never know if you'll be able to keep buying 100dollar body lotions to maintain your complexion.

I have used the kojic soap from DS but I'm thinking of gettting the gluta soap from them... and use that will 12% AHA lotion... seems to be the most natural thing...
Oh and this other brand is selling kojic acid lightner... kind of expensive... 5 ounces for $64, but I'm thinking of mixing it in with my lotion and just applying it that way everyday... it will last longer
