Bottom lights are dim and hot, unit comes on by itself
I have a Harbor Breeze ceiling fan that has lights at the top and bottom and have a fan section in the middle. The top lights and the fan work as they are supposed to. The bottom lights will come on very dim and get hot very fast. Also the lights and fan will come on by themselves at times. We thought that maybe someone's garage door signal was doing this but we really do not have any idea?? I have checked the wiring connections to the bottom lights and adjusted the electric element that touches the bottom of the light bulbs but to no avail. Hope someone has some input on this. Thanks for your help.

First things first, try changing the frequency of the fan and remote receiver. Make sure they match on the new frequency. See:
