    Anglican vs Episcopalian
I am from Canada and here and in the United Kingdom my religion is called Anglican, but in the USA it is called Episcopalian. I wanted to know if there are any differences between these denominations or is it just the name that is different.

Basically it's just the name is different. The Episcopal Church has its roots in the Church of England, and is part of the Anglican Communion, meaning it is one of many churches around the world that consider themselves to be aligned as part of the Anglican Church. The Archbishop of Canterbury (The Rev Rowan Williams) is considered the spirituall head of the Anglican Communion. But the Anglican Communion does not have a central single authority, like a Pope, and so each of the member churches has its own leadership. In the US the Presiding Bishop of the Epsicopal Church is the Most Rev Dr. Katherine Jefferts Schori.

In America we have a little saying you might not have heard... tomato tomato. Now you probably have the benefit of experiencing the phenomen first hand, being in England. When a N. American says tomato the a is long. An English bloke would say the a like ah, yet it is the same thing no matter where in the world you are. Same with your relgion.
