    Contact the IRS. They may or may not tell you who claimed your child, but they will give you instructions on what you should do, which is probably to file and claim the child yourself.

    Once the IRS has two returns claiming the same child, they will investigate to determine who has the right to claim the child, then disallow the exemption on the OTHER claimant.
