    Seriously, what the heck?
In a lot of states, maybe all, not really sure, but the one I live in anyway if you either don't have a proper exhaust pipe, or a broken one, to where it is really loud, you get pulled over, and get a ticket. " I mean, come on, what about Harley Davidsons where they are MUCH louder than a broken exhaust?

Are there any cops out there who can answer that? Or ANYONE who can answer that, and tell me where THAT logic is coming from? That really bugs me that I could get a ticket for my POS car, and yet, a Harley could go by, and... nothing.?

They make the laws so get used to it. This law has been in effect for many years.

POS cars should be made as legal as a new car. Exhaust problems causing loud noises should not be allowed by either a car or a motorcycle.

I think what really bugs you is you had to spend a dime on your POS car.

Loud motor noises, I love them and enjoyed each car that needed muffler repair. But if you are mad at the leniency given to Harley guys, ride one, the bike I mean. Glass pack mufflers are noisy and legal, be loud, get even.

You are not getting the ticket for the noise, but for the improper pollution control device, improper equipment as set in state law.
A motorcycle will also get a ticket for illegal pipes or improper pipes also.

If the ticket is purely for the noice normally they will have to be using a meter to know the levels of output.

They can merely use the "noise" to try and determine if there is an equipmnet issue
