    Satellite TV signal to vcr plays back scrambled
    Other tapes play back fine. Something is wrong with input signal from Satellite signal in. It is recording what I want,I can seea scrambled picture. HELP! Please. Direct TV wasn't at all helpful!

    Are you running the input to the VCR FROM the settop box? If the signal is being scrambled, then you may have bypassed the settop box which does the unscrambling.

    Sat. dish to sat. box input , Sat output to vcr input , vcr output to TV input. Sound right?

    Thanks for the quick response, The video is now good .I didn't have the vcr set on the same channel as the TV. 3&3 or in my case 4&4 now I get a little static sound in the audio. Any ideas? Thanks again Man!
