    How much do I need to make to qualify to receive a w-2
    I worked for a small company that I left in in April. Since then their shady business practices have put them out of business, I know what to do if I do not receive the w-2 by the 16th and I will call the IRS but I am curious. I have worked for 3 companies in the last year. I am wondering how much do I need to make at an employer to receive a w-2? And is it based off a per-employer total or my total for the year. I have never had this problem with taxes in the short time I have been filing... PLEASE HELP! I should have stayed at Home Depot!

    An employer must file form W-2 for all employees who had taxes withheld, regardless of how little they made, or for any employee who would have had taxes withhheld if they had only 1 allowance or had not claimed an exemption to withholding on their W4. Were any taxes withheld from your paycheck? If so, your employer is required to produce a W-2 for you.
