It depends on what you are selling.

You can start an eBay store. Or if its handmade goods you can try Etsy :: Your place to buy and sell all things handmade

I suggest you use GoDaddy.com to buy a domain they have great customer service and are really cheep. They also have POS software so you can accept credit cards and such.

If you don't want to set-up your own website then just sell your stuff on Craigslist or Ebay.
