Power off for three days, power back on and now my refrigerator won't cool on either
    Hi,

We just recently had a bad ice storm and lost power for three days and when the power came back on the freezer/refrigerator (Kenmore) will not cool. Is there a reset button or some similar quick fix I'm missing?

    Thanks,
    Ron

There could be a couple of things going on here try this basic start first

    1. Check that the knob is set to, say, 3 to 5.
    2. Tap the area around the cold control knob firmly; you're trying to jar the inside hidden contacts that may be stuck open.
    3. Don't be shocked to find that the compressor and other parts start working. That means that the cold control is sticky.
    4. Get a new cold control installed because it will probably get stuck again.

    6. Go to the back of the frig and see if the compressor and condenser fan motor are working. If not then you have a bad current relay.easy fix.its located in the compressor where the wires go into..

Post back after you check this.
