Installing a new light in kitchen
I am installing a new light in my kitchen. There are 4 white wires and 4 black wires in the box. When I tie all the white wires together with the one from the light fixture and I tie all the black wires with the one from the fixture the light works. When u turn off the light switch, it trips the breaker. How do I hook this up so it doesn't trip the breaker when you turn off the switch?

One of the whites from the ceiling connection should be connected to the Black supply conductor. It is part of the "Switch loop".

When using switches, white can carry power away from the supply line. The white should be identified by either black tape or paint around the insulation to signify that it is a power carrying conductor.
