    Want to know what these words mean
    Hello all

    I am new to this, but my daughter told me to come and ask this here, so here I am, hope someone can help.

    I bought this beautiful blanket at a second hand store, and it had a saying beautifully embroidered on it in gold. I have no idea what it says though, but I asked a Frence lady at the store and she said it is not French, I am hoping that someone here knows what it says, I love it, and am very curious as to what it says.

    As far as I can tell from the flowing letters, it is "Fhen Gui Dian Ya"

    Thank you all for you help

    I put it through the free translation site and it only translated one word to mistletoe. It really doesn't look French to me but I really don't know.

    I have other people looking, and I think the last word may be "already" in Spanish, and another friend of mine thinks it could be from the Catholic Church back in the middle ages, but I am stumped. Someone took the time to embroidery that beautifully on that blanket,. it MUST mean something,. starting to drive me crrrrraaaazzy, Not sure where to go from here,. any and all suggestions are welcome,. had to mean something,.

    Hello, Im part indonesian and recognized two words: Dian= light, candle or lamp
    Ya= yes or confirmation, these I looked up,
    Gui= short name for new-guinea
    Fe(h)n= fantastic, something remarkable

    Caibuadday has a good question, it is also helpful to look at the materials and the design of the blanket. But I won't be surprised when different languages and meanings turn up, it could very well be from the catholic church back in the middleages or a spell from catweazle.

    Good luck!

    I'm going with Chinese on this one. Elegant = Ya.

    "Rich and Elegant"

    The last character of my Chinese name is Ya - Elegant.
