Periodic noise near water pressure valve
I have a weird situation. Almost every day at 6:00 AM I get a noise that lasts about 5 seconds and repeats every 15 seconds. It sounds like marbles being rolled. The sound is near the water pressure valve in the garage. If I turn water on in the house the sound changes to a hissing - like gas being expressed. This situation remains for 30 - 60 minutes and then stops by itself - a big rumbling and then it stops until the next morning. I called the Water District and they said that they do not change the water pressure during the day but it is weird that it starts only in the early morning. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Get Pressure Regulator Repair kit. Remove the cylindrical part and replace all inside parts with new ones. Or, get new Regulator and install it in place of the old one.

If you want to replace it with new one, do this: remove old regulator, take it with you to the store, buy EXACTLY the same regulator and install it. That way you don't have to do any soldering, pipe cutting, etc. It is a simple swap.
