    Back taxes
    I know there is a way you can buy homes that have back taxes due on them. How and where do I find this information?!

    Some counties will periodically have tax sales. These are auctions where properties that have been seized for owing real estate taxes are sold.

    Generally, you can't just purchase the property by paying the taxes. In practice, properties that have been seized for back taxes are often been abandonded for long periods and are in poor repair.

    If a property has a mortgage, the mortgage holder will pay the taxes t5o protect their investment.
