I have told the father I was going to keep this baby even though it wasn't planned. I am now 14 weeks and the pregnancy seems to be doing great. I haven't heard from the father for over a month:confused: in our last conversation he told me we needed to talk I am still waiting for his call. I understand that I was just someone he a good time with when it was convenient. I just don't know how much time he needs to come to terms, I realize it might have been hard for him too. I am trying to be understanding but I would like answers too. Please someone who had been through something similar help me. :(

When he was "just having fun" with you, he knew that pregnancy was a possibility. Unfortunately, you can not force him to be part of the child's life. However you can, and should, require him to pay child support.

If several weeks have passed since you last spoke, you need to contact him again. Don't be surprised if he questions the paternity. He may ask for a test.

Do not expect too much - you will probably be disappointed. But hopefully he will come around. I commend you for making the hard decision to do this alone.

I had a cousin who got pregnant from a one night stand... never knew his name, didn't have a phone number, and never knew any friends...
The baby is now 6. he's doing great, and she's doing great.
You told him he is going to be a father. It is up to him if he wants to be a daddy.
