    Panasonic CT-36HL43G will not start
I have a Panasonic CT-36HL43G and have changed the fuse twice as indicated throughout this thread and it worked in the past, however the third time it did not solve my problem. Like BrooksV in the thread above, my led light is flashing but the TV will not start. Does anyone have an alternative suggestions?

    Hi Charlie,

Did you resolve your problem yet?

I am thinking about buying a service manual. From what I have been able to determine from other comments online, it seems to be a problem with the HOT (Horizontal Output Transistor) circuitry and / or related "Flyback" (whatever that is)

Here is a comment about the blinking LED (once every 6 seconds).

This error code indicated = no 140 Volt line. Check Q854 regulator, Q551 HOT, D511 210VOLT supply these are all on the D board. Also check D525 & C830 on the P board. Look for any expanded Electrolytic capacitors.

Here is a one persons approach to fixing it:

    1: Shorted Q551 ( B1bajw000001)
Any Of The Following Will Cause Output Failure ,Advise Replace All!
    Ic500 (C0aabb000107) Ic752 ( C0zbz0000373) D503 (B0kz00000001) D402
    (Maz42700mf)

    2 : Shorted Q551(B1bajw000001/2sc5612lb228)
After Replacement Unit Would Power Up With A Brief Vertical Buzz From Yoke
    No Hv Shutdown
    Found Open R860 (1k 1/2 Watt) R857,R858 (1 Ohm 1watt) Caused By Bad Q854
    (2sa19610qahw}
Note Q854 Will Check Good -It Breaks Down Under Load

    3: Further Checking Discovered That Ic500, Ic752, & Q755 Were Also Shorted
Along With D711 & D708. It Is Suggested that When Ever This Condition
Occurs, That The Following Components Be Replaced. Ic500, Ic752, Q755, Q551,
    D503, & D402.

As you know this TV weighs too much to take anywhere for repair. One company wanted a flat fee of $235 to fix the set.

I have been trying to find someone locally that will help teach me to repair it myself.

    Let me know how you.

    Brooks

I have a 32 in. panasonic TV which works fine, except it will turn itself off, and then when it feels like it, it will turn itself back on. It's very annoying, but the set works fine otherwise. I'd appreciate any suggestions. It's ten years old, so I don't want to spend a fortune to fix it....
