    Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer
    Hi,

I have just finished reading the Twilight Saga and loved it, so I'm looking for some similar reads... anyone got any good suggestions?

Also, does anyone know if / when Stephenie Meyer is going to get her act together to finish Midnight Sun? I have read the first draft that she posted on her website (as it had been leaked on the internet)...

And last... is Midnight Sun the last book in the series or is she planning on writing more??

    Thanks!

Have you read Nora Roberts Key Trilogy or Circle Trilogy?

    Her Key trilogy is AWESOME!

I've read the first couple books in the Twilight Saga and they are okay, but I wonder...

What is it about Edward that young women find so overwhelmingly interesting?

What is it about Bella that so many people empathize with?

Actually, I'm with you on this one, Blastoff. I read the first book in the series, but felt no need to finish them.

To me, they weren't all that interesting...

    I guess I'm a literature snob.

I read the twilight Saga too- it's great. :)
Try reading her new(ish) book, The Host.
It's got an eye on the cover, it's kind of
Unevenful at the start but, it definitely gets better.

I loved the twilight books compared to you I did even before the movie came out and ruined everything... but anyway the only book I can think of that would be good is... 'blood and chocolate' it's a really good book but the movie screwed that up big time.

Midnight sun is not the last part of the series. Its just the story in the twilight (1st book) but it's in the perspective of edward. He was the one narrating it... :) try reading dreamland by sara dessen, time traveller's wife, or heart's delight by per nilsson.. they're not about vampires but it's really nice. Oh another one which is similar to twilight is melissa dela cruz's books-blue bloods.

You really should read the host its amazing, the way she sumerises the book isn't very good, but once you actually get into the book you won't want to stop reading, its almost better than twighlight.

Try VAMPS by Nancy A Collins. It's a story about teenage vampires and their issues. The love story involves a half vampire and vampire hunter. Cliché? The characters think so, too.

Second in the series, Nightlife, just came out. I have my autographed copy!

Have you read "The Host" also by Stephanie Meyers? It is an excellent adult read (Sci-Fi.) Also try "Chosen," "Marked" and if you really want to step out onto the ledge, try any series by Laurel K. Hamilton. She writes two very good series. One series is built around a vampire hunter and the other is built around Merry Gentry, a faerie queen.

I am a bookseller and would love to answer any of your questions.

Just so you know, I wouldn't suggest reading the vampire academy books. There a cheap knock off.
    Stephenie will finish Midnight sun.
That will be her last book in the Twilight series.

I LOOOOOOOOVED the Twilight Saga I read them all within a couple of days of buying each book. Went onto the site and Stephenie said that she will finish Midnight Sun despite her disgust at the leak of the first few hundred pages. I hope that it is not the last in the saga as I would love for her to write more on Esme and Carlyle maybe eventually giving us a few more glimpses into Edward and Bella and also Jacob and Nessie

I would recommend anything by anne rice. I know she hasn't published anything new in forever, but they're still amazing books.

Hi! I found the Twilight saga slow (all of them) although I read them all (I'll read a cereal box if I'm bored!), also. I did really enjoy the Night World series by L.J. Smith. each book has 3 stories but all interact and also interact with each book. The P.C. & Kristen Cast series (Marked, Betrayed, etc.) are very good also!
